The project coordinator (AUA) participated in the EDS2014 Int. Conference and Exhibition on Desalination for the Environment: Clean Water and Energy, that took place in Limassol, Cyprus, on 11-15 May 2014 (https://www.desline.com/congress/Cyprus2014/home.shtml). In this conference two research works have been presented relevant to the Reverse Osmosis desalination unit.
The project coordinator (AUA) participated in the Industrial Technologies 2014 international conference that took place in Athens, Greece, on 9-11 April 2014 (http://www.industrialtechnologies2014.eu/). In this conference a part of the research work was presented relevant to the construction of the two-stage ORC engine.
In WP 3, the installation and experimental investigation of the two-stage ORC and the desalination unit are under progress at the NTUA laboratory (November 2013).
In WP 3, the two-stage ORC engine with capacity of 10 kW and the desalination unit including three identical sub-units have been constructed (October 2013).

In this conference a part of the research work was presented relevant to the construction of the two-stage ORC engine.
The project coordinator (AUA) participated in the WIN4LIFE 2013 international conference that took place in Tinos island, Greece, on 21-23 September 2013 (www.uest.gr/win4life/). In this conference a part of the research work was presented relevant to the developed desalination unit.
The Work Packages (WP) 1 and 2 that deal with the simulation and optimization of each process (solar field/ORC engine/desalination unit) have been successfully completed (during 2011).

The first meeting of the project partners took place at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) on the 11th January 2011. Representatives from all partners (both universities and SMEs) participated in this meeting.
